A key part of Microwave lab is to learn how to use Microwave test equipment to make measurement of power, frequency, S-parameters, SWR, return loss & insertion loss. We briefly describe the most important pieces of test equipment that will be used in the laboratory experiments, even the radiation pattern of microwaves is observed using antennas and it was analyzed. The microwave source used in the laboratory are Reflex Klystron & Gunn diode and their characteristics are studied.
