The department of Electronics & Communication Engineering started right from the inception of the college in the year 1997. The primary objective of the department has been to impart quality education, training and research at the undergraduate and postgraduate in various areas of Electronics and Communication Engineering with broad emphasis on design aspects of electronic systems. The Department presently offers UG Programme B.Tech with an intake of 300 and one PG programme VLSI with an intake of 18 each. The Department has been accredited by NBA in 2006, 2009, 2014 and 2017 for excellence in engineering education.
Over the span of 20 years since inception, the department has been successful in attracting some of the best minds both in the student and teaching community.
The Department has several well-equipped laboratories, namely, Microwave Engineering, Digital Communications, Analog Communications ,VLSI, Embedded Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Signals and Systems, Digital Image Processing, Digital Electronics, Analog Electronics, Microcontroller, Communication Protocol, Electronic Circuit Analysis, OOPs through JAVA and Advanced English Communication Skills. The Department motivates students to take up innovative projects through participation in an active in-house product development Lab. Industry interaction is being promoted through several projects.
